Paddy Drumm, the "front man" of Celtic Heart, was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland with a passion for all things Irish. As a young man, he packed his bags and journeyed across the Atlantic, coming to rest in San Jose, California. Paddy brought with him a catalogue of songs, humor, and a love for music that is common among the Irish, yet unique in scope and complexity. Paddy has been active in the Irish and folk music scene in the Bay Area for 25 years, and is a favorite among the locals.
Steve Kritzer has dedicated his life to a love of music. His prodigious career includes award winning songwriting, (many of which are performed by Celtic Heart) and performance in many different genre including: Celtic, bluegrass, jazz, folk, country, and pop. Perhaps more amazing than his breadth of musical influence is his mastery of a variety of instruments: guitar, banjo, mandolin, mandola and piano. Steve brings a do-it-all dynamic to the group that is unique to only the most gifted musicians.
Jerry McMillan is Celtic Heart's widely renowned and critically acclaimed fiddle player. From sweet slow airs to fiery jigs and reels to hot jazz solos, Jerry has delighted audiences throughout North America and Europe. After years of touring with artists like Robin Williamson, Al Stewart and Thom Moore, the Bay Area is lucky to have reclaimed his talents.
Sheila Drumm rounds out the diverse body of talent in the group with her captivating vocals, tin whistle and bodhran playing, and warm engaging stage presence. Equally lovely as the lead or harmony, her voice enchants audiences with its pristine quality and richness of sound. A music teacher and veteran performer in her own right, Sheila adds a gentle, yet exciting and professional quality that helps make Celtic Heart the rich tapestry of talent that it is.
