HOT DANCE BAND!!!

TEX-MEX - TOP 40 - R & B - OLDIES
SOUL - SALSA - LATIN JAZZ

THERE IS A NEW GROUP IN TOWN...ONE THAT ENCOMPASSES A VARIETY OF MANY DIFFERENT SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO THE BAY AREA. A BAND THAT IS COMPOSED OF MANY VETERAN MUSICIANS FROM THE SOUTH BAY MUSIC SCENE. A BAND KNOWN AS ALBERT T. AND THE COOL BREEZE.

FORMED IN THE FALL OF 1990, ALBERT T. AND THE COOL BREEZE HAVE RAPIDLY BECOME ONE OF THE SOUTH BAYS MOST PROMISING NEWCOMERS IN THE MUSIC CIRCUIT. DESPITE THE BANDS RECENT ARRIVAL, ITS MEMBERS ARE VETERANS OF MANY PAST MUSICAL VENTURES. THEIR INDIVIDUAL CREDENTIALS ARE EXTENSIVE & SHOW THE BANDS VERSATILITY IN THE MUSIC FIELD.

ALBERT TORRES is the bands fearless leader. A native of Watsonville, Torres brings with him an impressive array of musical styles. He and the band weave a musical quilt--a patchwork of hard driving rock and roll, mellow and nasty blues, classic R & B, and the taste of southern border Tex-Mex material which is so prevalent in the sounds of groups such as Los Lobos and Little Joe. Albert was the original founder and leader of Thee Nite Owls "oldies but goodies" band in the early 1970's, and saw the band through private and club circuits throughout the Bay Area for ten years. They took first place in the Salinas Armory "Battle of the Bands" in 1975 and 1976 consecutively. Under Torres' leadership, Thee Nite Owls also opened up for many soul greats, such as The Crest, The Penguins, James Brown, The Chantells, the Shirelles, Rosie and The Originals, Mary Wells, George Santana, The Salsa All Stars, Willie G and The Midnighters and many other well known music stars. In the 1980's, Torres played with bands that had a wide range of musical styles (top 40, soul, funk, pop, new wave, disco, rock & roll, latin). These included the groups Something Special, Cielo Majestic Brown, The Dynamics, The Nitelighters, Star Fire and Nite Life. He is currently the driving force behind The Cool Breeze, with many aspirations for the bands success.
"JIMMY JAM" SABALA has earned himself a place in the west coast Latin/Jazz scene. Recognized as one of the premier percussionists in the South Bay, Sabala is a veteran "congero" whose musical experience with bands like Libre, South Bay Band, City Stroke, Musica Es Cultura and The Jordan Brothers has allowed him the freedom of total Latin jazz musical expression. In the 80's, experiences with blues, gospel and salsa styles brought a better understanding of musical versatility to Jimmy's music. These he incorporated into the funk and pop styles of Mystique, Mellow Madness, Star Fire and Nite Life. Teaming up with Albert Torres, Sabala laid the percussive foundations for their present artistic venture. Currently the drummer for The Cool Breeze, his aspirations and talents are sure to propel the band to greater heights of musical exposure.
JACK and JOE ALDANA should be viewed as one of the best identical sibling teams to hit the California music scene. One of the professions' few "twin brother" performing duos, they each have established their roots in the jazz/fusion circuit with musical talents which can only be described as "astounding". Originating from Fresno, the twins first became deeply involved in music by studying classical material, with Jack having played first violin and piano for their high school orchestra, and Joe playing first cello. Jack is one of the groups two keyboard players. His most recent gigs prior to joining The Cool Breeze included membership in San Jose's own Back to Back and Touch of Class, which is currently touring the national Hilton/Fairmont hotel chain. Joe's experience, on the other hand, is even more extensive, having hooked up with the late, great Charlie Parker while doing stints in Hawaii. Considered to be an "awesome" bass player by many, Joe Aldana's funky bass lines are sure to rock any and all crowds who might happen to be in the way.
The most recent newcomer to the music scene is JOSE ROBLES, who also happens to be the Cool Breeze's youngest member. Before becoming the bands rhythm guitarist, Robles had played with local San Jose bands Ventura and Ambiente. Just after Ambiente's break up, Robles was instrumental in securing an advertising slot for the band with the Polaroid Corporation, landing the band in a nation wide commercial broadcast with James Brown and Rosanna Arquette that ran on ABC, CBS, and NBC Networks respectively for about a month. Prior to joining the music scene, Jose was heavily involved in gospel music, which he performed on acoustic guitar for seven years. His smooth musical style, clean licks and crisp detail blend easily with the bands amalgamated and diverse musical talent, providing audiences with a form of music familiar to many and yet, at the same time, invigorating to all.

SO EXPERIENCE THE MUSICAL "BREEZE" OF ALBERT T. AND THE COOL BREEZE...AND ENJOY HOW IT FEELS...
